Criteria for Membership in Les Dames d’Escoffier St. Louis

Membership consists of women who have excelled in their field and demonstrated leadership in their profession.

Membership should be highly diversified and reflect the multifaceted fields of contemporary gastronomy and hospitality: chefs, restaurateurs, caterers, culinary school proprietors and teachers, professors, culinary historians, food editors and writers, hoteliers and hotel executives, vintners and wine merchants, brew masters, chocolatiers, bakers, food scientists, dietitians, communications specialists, lawyers, farmers, food merchants, manufacturers, purveyors, event planners and advocates in related fields.

Membership Criteria

  • Women with at least 5 years of professional experience who demonstrate achievement and show stature in the food, beverage, or hospitality industry. 
  • Women who support the Les Dames d’Escoffier International Mission, Vision and Basic Values. 
  • Women who meet LDEI’s ethical standards and have no undisclosed conflict of interest associated with their membership.
